CULVERT

  1. A transverse drain under a roadway, canal, or embankment other than a bridge. Most culverts are fabricated with materials such as corrugated metal and precast concrete pipe.
  2. Round, corrugated drain pipe (normally 15″ or 18″ in diameter) that is installed beneath a driveway and parallel to and near the street.
