Americans with Disabilities Act. It’s a law that was enacted by the U.S. Congress in 1990, intended to protect against discrimination based on disability. It affects construction, because access must be given on public accommodations and commercial buildings. This means that access slopes have to be correctly built (usually at 5% or less).
