The total sum of all direct costs associated with producing a product or performing a service for business revenue. Cost of Goods Sold, or COGS, is also commonly referred to as Job Costs or Cost of Sales.
EXAMPLE: The materials and labor costs for the Jones job would be considered Cost of Goods Sold.
