HEAD-TO-HEAD COVERAGE

  1. Head-to-head coverage is an irrigation “rule of thumb” in which the sprinkler heads are spaced so they reach the adjacent sprinkler head. This ensures a maximum amount of coverage for the area being watered.
  2. The practice of placing sprinklers so that water from one sprinkler overlaps all the way to the next sprinkler head.  This helps to increase overall system efficiency and prevents dry spots in the landscape.
