DOMESTIC WATER or POTABLE WATER

  1. Domestic water is water that is for all indoor and outdoor household purposes.
  2. Water that meets state and federal safety standards for human consumption (i.e. drinking water). It can be used as a source of irrigation water, but once water enters an irrigation system it is no longer considered domestic or potable.

EXAMPLE:

Domestic water should be clean and safe from waste, otherwise it can have bad consequences on humans and the surrounding environment.
