COMPACTOR ROLLER

  1. Compactor rollers – primarily known as “steam rollers” – are vehicles used to compact soil, gravel, concrete, or asphalt in the construction of roads and foundations. Compactor rollers can weigh up to 44,000 pounds and cost up to more than $150,000 USD.
  2. A vibratory rolling drum type compactor used to consolidate loose soils and gravels in the creation of firm and stable surfaces. These are not preferred for most homeowner installations and can be used in commercial applications when properly supervised.
