AGGREGATE

  1. A mixture of small stones made by crushing larger stones used for construction purposes. (Different from gravel, which are small stones naturally formed.)
  2. Sand, gravel, shell, or crushed stone used in base materials or mixed with cement to make concrete.
  3. A mixture of sand and stone and a major component of concrete.
