GAUGE (Artificial Turf Term)

The distance between the needles in artificial turf.

EXAMPLE:

1/8 gauge simply means there is 1/8” between each needle, or there are 8 needles per inch.  Looking at the back of the carpet you can see rows; the distance between the rows is the gauge.
