A drain connected to the pond filter or to a sump where the waste from the bottom of the pond can be flushed away. The dirt sediment on the bottom is removed and transported directly through the drain. When installing a pond the drain should be placed on the deepest point of the pond. This helps tremendously in keeping a pond clean.
EXAMPLE:
By adding the bottom drain, the pond didn’t need to be cleaned as often.
