- A container for a bulk material such as grain, rock, or trash, typically one that tapers downward and is able to discharge its contents at the bottom
- A system of collecting, storing, and categorizing marketing leads and sales opportunities in order to produce sales.
- Categorizing identities from cold to hot. A database of names, a rolodex, or any system for tracking identities. The job of any marketing person is two-fold, to fill the hopper and to continue to move identities from cold to warm to hot.
