Wind bracing helps to support a structure during high winds and storms. There are four primary types of wind bracing, including lateral steel bracing, tie-rod bracing, diaphragm action bracing, and cross-braced frames.
Metal straps or wood blocks installed diagonally on the inside of a wall from bottom to top plate, to prevent the wall from twisting, racking, or falling over “domino” fashion.
